Anyone else frustrated with the mediocre tablet market in the Android world?
With phones, people get excited, and they're weighing the pros and cons of one flagship vs another. I can't even remember the last time I saw someone look forward to the release of an Android tablet.
The Nexus 9 seemed like it was going to be killer, but it was plagued with poor build-quality and performance issues. The Nexus 7 line was inexplicably killed after being the most successful Nexus device ever.
And then you've got Samsung with an absurdly large variety of release-them-and-forget-about-them Galaxy Tabs.
Are we going to see a resurgence of tablets in Android? I know the Pixel C is on the horizon, but that device seems too large and niche to really appeal to an average tablet user.
For me, I think I basically just want to see a refreshed Nexus 9 without all the issues.
Interesting replies at that reddit thread.
Makes me think there will be iPad as the sole remaining tablet.
Not that that isn't happening right now anyway.
