I was real gung-ho on this phone but now wonder if that Super AMOLED screen is the best thing for me. It seems that I prefer IPS screens, which tend to offer better gradations when it comes to the color black. I've seen this mentioned as a problem when viewing videos before but, at post time, this is the only mention I can find:
AMOLED screens can have a black clipping problem where dark greys become black so that dark movies get really dark.
One of my tests revealed that clipping problem and it can really ruin a video.
